Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our production team. The Saw Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining saw machines to cut materials, primarily metals and plastics, to specified dimensions. This role requires technical expertise, precision, and a commitment to quality to support our company’s high manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Operation
- Set up and calibrate CNC saw machines to perform cutting operations according to work orders and engineering specifications.
- Select appropriate tools and materials based on the job requirements.
- Load, position, and secure materials on the CNC saw in preparation for cutting.
- Execute cutting processes to create parts that meet precise specifications, using blueprints, CAD designs, or other instructions.
Quality Control
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards, using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tape measurers).
- Monitor machine output and troubleshoot to maintain quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform adjustments as needed to correct deviations or improve cutting quality.
Maintenance & Safety
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC saw machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs.
- Ensure work area is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, adjustments, and quality control checks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 1+ years’ experience operating CNC machinery, preferably saws, in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in operating CNC saws and using machine setup tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and measuring tools.
Physical Ability:
- Able to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lb).
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a manufacturing environment.
Safety Awareness:
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, and the ability to follow safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
